    Luis Anibal is no stranger to us, we’ve previously had an amazing run of their EF Java varietal. However, this season is the season for firsts! We’re beyond stoked to launch our first ever Wush Wush varietal! Truly a yummy coffee!

    This coffee was grown by Luis Anibal Calderon at the farm Villa Betulia. This coffee was carefully hand-picked in order to select only the ripest cherries and then hand sorted to remove any defects. The coffee was sundried on raised beds in temperature controlled conditions until the ideal moisture content is achieved. 

    This microlot is 100% Wush Wush. This is a rare varietal grown in Colombia. It is believed that it made its way from Ethiopia about 25 years ago from Wush Wush. 

    Sensory experience, let’s begin! Muscat grapes right off the bat, we detect very complex sweetness and tartaric acidity. This then leads to the juiciness of red currant as well as the layered body and mouthfeel that reminds us of a good rooibos tea! Finally, the cup tapers off with high sweetness, akin to a light treacle. Super yummy cup, let’s go!
