Background
Haru Suke, a town that we all know and love. Super excited to have this beautiful coffee on our lineup once again, we love our Washed Ethiopian coffees here at Flip.
This exceptional coffee was dry milled and exported by Primrose, PLC and grown by smallholder farmers producers around the town of Haru Suke in Gedeo County, Yirgacheffe region. Cherries are delivered to the mill once a day at the minimum where they are hand sorted, floated and de-pulped before being placed into a concrete tank where they go through 66-72 hours of fermentation. Following which, the coffee is fully washed, graded through channels and delivered to dry on raised beds where they spend the next several weeks thinly spread and turned regularly until they reach the desired 12% of humidity according to the moisture metre.
An everyday drinking coffee that makes you feel like you’re on a holiday, the nectarines are PROMINENT in this one. This leads to a burst of orange blossoms and vibrant citrus like flavours, followed with lingering jasmine in the finish.
