  • Background

This time, we feature 2 coffees from the same producer Wilder Garcia. This is the Bourbon lot, an every-drinking coffee, with round acidity and a syrupy mouthfeel.

Wilder is a third-generation coffee producer from Jaén, Peru. He owns 23 hectares of land, 16 of which are dedicated to coffee production. The land is situated at an altitude of 1750-1950 meters above sea level. Since 1970, the García family has cultivated coffee with dedication and passion. Wilder specializes in coffee production, guided by a business vision that prioritizes social and environmental responsibility.

This coffee was de-pulped, thoroughly washed to remove the mucilage, and then dried on raised beds for 10 to 18 days, depending on the weather, or until the ideal moisture content is achieved.

The acidity in this bourbon lot is one that carries inherent sweetness as well, like stewed apples and yellow peach. The demerara finish rounds off the cup nicely. Great for easy drinking!
