As you guys know, here at Flip we LOVE our seasonal blends. We believe blends to be timeless and we believe in the usage of good ingredients to craft beautiful and delicious blends with precision. Introducing Helter Skelter, our latest seasonal blend. She’s order, within chaos.
Why Helter Skelter? Simply put, because the name means chaos and messiness. It’s hurried, not measured and disorganised. Used in a sentence, “His calm mental state quickly ran helter skelter when the 20 cyclists entered the coffee shop all at once.” HEHEHE
But there are instances whereby chaos is beautiful. Especially in music. Jazz music can come across as a complete mess to most people, especially when the musicians trade 4s or play their solos, but within all of that is an order that’s TIGHT and UNSHAKEABLE. And on the surface, the blend of these 3 coffees can come across as a hot mess, due to the fact that there’s 9 varietals in here. Check out the makeup below HAHAHA!
Indonesia Argopuro – Kartika, Orange Bourbon, Typica, East Java
Kenya Kiaragana – SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, Batian
El Salvador San Francisco – Pacamara
9 varietals dancing in the same cup is a hot mess indeed. But her flavours when blended in the right proportions really surprised us. We taste the deep refined sweetness of Ruby Port as well as the tartaric acidity of dark grapes. The coffee then leads on to beautiful notes of sweet milk chocolate and the complex and deep finish of molasses. A beautiful jazz trio indeed.
THAT’S WHY WE NAMED HER “HELTER SKELTER”.
NOW GO TRY IT.
